NEEDLE FELTED SNOWY OWL

I decided to take a break from making my felted purse and make a needle felted snowy owl.

This is the first needle felted owl I have ever made and I think she is precious sitting on her stump overlooking the forest.

Needle felting is a method of felting using only a barbed needle to sculpt 3D animals or other objects from wool roving.

If you can imagine it you can needle felt it.

i came to your website via Sara’s Texture Crafts to take a look at your Shibori scarf tutorial – I’d no idea what Shibori meant! The tutorial is fascinating and makes it seem much easier than I expect it is really *g*
And I just love your owl!! This is the kind of felting I do and I Iike the way you say; “If you can imagine it, you can felt it” It’s incredible fun too, seeing a little creature grow before your eyes (in your hands?!!) I’ll take inspiration from [but ot copy I assure you] the owl when I’m making my set of toys to go with a 1:12 scale porcelain doll I intend dressing as Christopher Robin.
